26 Mar Ambition=Success
I’m sure most if not all know what ambition means but if not then I’ll define it for you. Ambition means to have a strong desire to achieve success requiring hard work and determination. Now that that’s out the way read on the see why ambition leads you to success.
Are you ambitious? Or Are you lazy? These two words cannot co-exist in the same presence and definitely not at the same time. Ambition starts with a dream. Dreams are essential but won’t get you anywhere without work. It requires hard work, persistence, strategy, discipline, and dedication, to successfully chase your dreams you must acquire a check list to keep your ambitious drive in check.
What’s on your checklist is totally up to you depending on your goals. Below I will give you the top 3 things you’ll want to add into your daily routine to reach success.
1. SMART GOALS!! S-Specific, M-Measurable, A-Achievable, R-Realistic, T-Timely. Be specific and very detailed when it comes to writing goals down. For every goal there should be a plan of action to follow. All goals big or small should have a measureable time frame.
2. SHIFT YOUR MINDSET!! Motivation is a verb because it’s something you have to do consistently. Look at what you’ll gain instead of what you’ll lose. Think of failure as a process of elimination. “Fail Early, Fail Often, and Fail Forward”….Don‘t be afraid of making mistakes. Failure is only permanent if you stop trying. Applaud what you’ve done so far and keep pushing toward the next goal.
3. CHANGE YOUR VOCABULARY!! Do you consider yourself talented? Intelligent? Creative? Say positive affirmations daily. They are simple yet powerful statements. Look at it like you’re complimenting yourself every morning, who doesn’t like compliments right? Also remove “I don’t feel like it” from your vocab. There’s nothing behind them little feelings of yours. This is a toxic phrase so get rid of it FAST! Get in the routine of accomplishing the task anyway because reality is you won’t do it later.
Ambition is not about being competitive against the next person it’s simply about pushing you toward success and bringing great results. Less talk, more work. “Ambition is the path to success; persistence is the vehicle you arrive in – Bell Bradley”
