Guard the Door of Your Lips

photo 1 No one gets to be exempt from trails and troubles, but the response to hardship separates victory from defeat. Regardless of our circumstances it is imperative that we learn to plant the right seeds. It is important for us to guard the door of our lips and be mindful of the things we allow to come out of our mouth. For the things we say and allow to come out of our mouth is the exact things we are prophesying over our lives.

The word of God tells us faith without works is dead. (James 2:17) We give life to our faith by the words we speak. We cannot pray for the best and expect the worse. It is not the severity of the storm but rather how the storm is weathered. We must stand on the word of God, speak prosperity into our lives and circumstances, stretch our arms out, and snatch it up by faith!

Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that “Death and life is in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” It only takes one negative comment to kill someone with our tongue. It only takes one negative comment to place a sick relative on their death bed. It only takes one negative comment to speak negative behavior into the lives of our children. It only takes one negative comment to kill someone’s dream or our own dreams for that matter.

We are too quick to forget that we are children of the Most High! Instead of negative speaking let us remember to speak positivity into the lives of those around us. Our words carry creative power and what we speak is what we will get. There should be no talk of defeat, poverty, financial struggles, or any type of negativity. Regardless of what we may be going through right now, know that God will turn our mess into a message. Now is the time to open our mouths and declare the blessings that will soon pour down.

{Personal Message from J_LaQueenia}
It is not about what I have been through in my life that defines who I am; it is how I got through it that has made me the person I am today.
Guarding the door of our lips and speaking positivity blesses us with power over our circumstances instead of allowing our circumstances to have power over us. Faith does not make things easy, however it makes them possible. Negative speaking is poison that feeds on the soul. Keep dreaming, stay in faith, and choose to only release positivity! Choose to believe God is great & we were created to achieve GREATNESS!!

Set a guard O Lord before my mouth, keep watch at the door of my lips. (Psalm 141:3)
Blessings!
