Last Words

Many public and artistic features are speaking out in regards to the unexplained killings of the men and women (dominantly Black) by those who are supposed to protect us. Our previous feature Chaquis Maliq shared with us a piece she created from the final words of those killed.

#ICANTBREATHE Tribute by Chaquis Maliq

I picked up a guitar, and visited the tribute graphics, typed them in the order my hands said they should. Then I hit record on my phone. I had to contribute my voice to #icantbreathe, with the last words of just a few of the brothers and sisters killed by the hands of the so called authorities.
