Happy New Year!
Even though this is the last week of the month, I think this still qualifies as the New Year! Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? One of the most frequent resolutions is related to losing weight. However, if you don’t have the right network and support group around you, it may be difficult to stay on track.
Many people don’t have the time or money to invest in a gym membership and a personal trainer. So, what options are out there for them? This year, I launched an online total body fitness challenge. It’s a fun way to get much-needed information, support, and to maybe even win cash and prizes for a very low fee!
Here’s how it works:
Participants pay a low entry fee to the 8-week challenge (mine is $30 per person). With that, they get a sample meal plan and grocery list, 60 days of workouts, and a support group that shares tips, ideas, and encouragement. Each week the participants weigh in and log their weight. The winner of the challenge will receive cash and prizes.
It has been proven that the primary way to achieve your goals is to have some accountability mechanism in place. This challenge offers that accountability, and also puts members with others that have the same goals. Since I’ve started the challenge this year, my participants lost 60 pounds in 6 days! That’s a big deal…and although they are competing, they have also developed relationships and push each other through when it gets tough. As one member said, “This is the first challenge I’ve ever joined because I never wanted anyone to know my weight….but, it’s probably the kick in the rear I need.” Another member said, “This group is great! I love the motivation! Thanks everyone!”
The challenges will start every 4-6 weeks. If you’re interested in participating in the next challenge, visit my website at www.thoroughbred-fitness.com. My goal is to help anyone that wants to make a change in their health and wellness meet their goal.
Don’t look back this time next year and wish you had started now. Get your plan in place so when next year comes around, you can reflect on how much you’ve achieved!
