How long have you been in business:
I have been in business for almost 100 days!
How did you get started:
I decided one day that I wanted to be a full-time entrepreneur, so I resigned from my full-time position on October 16, 2019, and since then, I have been hitting the ground running!
Why do you choose to do what you do:
I love people! I love helping people tell their stories. Public relations is that into one ball. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.
What was the first win that you received that you go back to mentally every time it feels rough:
The first win for me, and it may seem simple for others, was getting my email set-up. The little things matter to me. I always reflect that if I could do that, I can do anything!
What startup struggles did you experience and what struggles do you experience currently:
The main startup struggle I experienced was believing in myself. Self-doubt is real. It’s something I still currently deal with. As an entrepreneur, you continuously question if you’re doing the right thing, or if this is going to work, but if you intentionally think positive, you will have positive results.
How do you pick yourself back up when things fall apart?
I surround myself around people who get it. They get “entrepreneurial chronicles.” Having a strong support system helps. I also am mindful of the music I listen to and the television shows I watch.
How does your ambition drive you in your business?
It’s the transformation, the outcome. It’s making a huge impact on people’s lives. It is one of the most powerful and humbling things one human being can do for another.
How do you stay consistent when life gets crazy?
I always remember why I started. It’s not about me; it’s about the people. People need PR. People need guidance. People need help telling their story, and that’s what I am here for. My favorite saying is the best way to find yourself is in the service of others, and every day I’m meeting that goal.
