Trusting yourself is easy to say, not always easy to do. The good news is even if you have not trusted your own wisdom and judgement in the past you can learn how to do so, now.
When we learn to trust ourselves and our ability to make smart decisions, we feel confident, self-sufficient, and empowered. We are no longer anxious when facing hard or challenging decisions and can stop second guessing the choices we have already made.
The journey to begin trusting our self is trusting God, Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean-to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The world has many perceptions, assumptions and judgments but God’s way is the right way. We have to accept the fact that we will not have hundred percent of all the information because only God knows and see all so we have to lean on Him for discernment. Many times we allow making decisions overtake us but normally our first thought is usually God’s thought.
We have to accept the responsibility of our own actions and decisions and the consequences that follow. Ladies, we do have a “women’s intuition” because God made us nurturer or helpers, so we know when something or someone needs help or taken care of. So trust our God-given discernment and that of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide of into trusting who and whose we are.
We often fall trapped into believing that making the right decisions are difficult or complex, instead of choosing the path that is most effortless is normally God’s way.
